NCWorks Session for Impacted Employees
We wanted to make you aware of an NCWorks program taking place tomorrow (Monday, July 21) that could be useful for any employees impacted by the flooding.
The details are as follows:
Employees impacted by Tropical Storm Chantal are invited to join workforce experts at the Chapel Hill Public Library on Monday, July 21 for an Impacted Worker & Rapid Response session. This is an NCWorks program that responds to the needs of affected employees with a focus on preventing and minimizing the duration of unemployment. Employees are provided with information and resources available to help them with the transition. This information includes Unemployment Insurance Benefits, Education and Training Options, and Job Search Assistance.
Resource sessions will be provided at the following times:
9:30am – 11:00am, Chapel Hill Public Library, Meeting Room A
3:00pm – 4:30pm, Chapel Hill Public Library, Meeting Room A
There will also be an NCWorks Mobile Unit on site to assist in helping them register on NCWorks.gov, create their resume, and research available jobs. The Mobile Unit will be stationed at the Chapel Hill Public Library from 9:00am – 4:00pm.
Attendance is recommended for those recently been impacted by job loss, your employment status has changed due to Tropical Storm Chantal or have questions about unemployment. This program is FREE and open to the public.
