IMPORTANT: Individual Space Power & Permits

While work is underway to bring primary power to the center, there are important steps you can proactively take to ensure your individual space is ready for reconnection:

If flood water reached the electrical outlets in your space, you will need to apply for an individual ‘Trade Work Only Permit’ to proceed with electrical power restoration in your space.

You must visit the Town of Chapel Hill’s ‘Online Permit Portal’ website here: Chapel Hill Online Permit Portal

Within the ‘Online Permit Portal’, you should select ‘Trade Work Only Permit’ to apply for an expedited permit focused solely on electrical work. Be sure to include “FLOOD PRIORITY” in your permit description so it receives urgent attention.

Work may begin before the permit is issued, and the Town has committed to reviewing and issuing permits within 1–3 days.

If you need help sourcing an electrician, please let us know as soon as possible. Once the work to restore primary power to the center is complete, we will aim to make electricians on-site available for work in individual spaces.
